TWENTY-FIVE members of the Harley Owners Group Brunei Chapter (HOGB) participated in the "Sunrise and Breakfast Ride" which was held on October 30, 2011 where the riders rode together to Miri, Sarawak.
Prior to the ride, members assembled at the Harley Davidson showroom in Lambak Industrial area for a Doa Selamat and a safety briefing. The convoy was led by Road Captain Pg Mohd Ariffin PLP Pg Hj Md Said and also participating in the convoy was HOGB President Abd Malek Hamdani.
At the border, participating HOGB members were welcomed by some members from the Miri Motorcycle Club (MBC), including Vice President of MBC, Abang Sahari Abang Osman.
Members of HOGB and MBC then proceeded to the final destination which was one of the popular restaurant in Miri for breakfast.
To conclude the event, HOGB President, Abd Malek presented a token of appreciation to MBC's Vice-President Abang Sahari.
The "Sunrise and Breakfast Ride" was a regular and monthly activity of HOGB but the recent event was the first of its kind as it was held outside of the Sultanate.
The event was aimed at fostering ties between Brunei bikers and bikers from neighbouring countries. Events such as these can help diversify a healthy social culture among the members HOGB and MBC.
