The Harley Owners Group Brunei Chapter (HOGB) was first established in 2006, starting off with a small number of members. Now it is gaining strength in numbers as more and more bike enthusiasts are using Harley Davidson motorcycles. As part of its anniversary, HOGB 5th anniversary celebration was recently held at the Harley Davidson Showroom in Lambak Kanan Industrial Estate West.

In a welcoming speech, HOGB Director, Abd Malek Hamdani remarked the chapter was officially launched in September 2006. "At that time we only had 40 members but today, I am happy to report that the Chapter has about 300 members in the whole of Brunei Darussalam. Our family has really grown. The HOGB has grown over the years. It was created for our 'one mutual passion', which is to provide all our members an opportunity to ride together," he said.

He added that the HOGB ride together for fun and also have ridden to support various causes.

"Throughout our five years, we have joined different rallies in and outside Brunei and have conducted various activities. The HOGB would not be the chapter it is today without the support of all of you its members and I thank you all for your support and dedication over the years.

"I would also like to thank Harley Davidson of Brunei for being very supportive to our chapter. They have always been the main sponsors for our events and activities and thanks to them we are all going to enjoy our dinner tonight," he added.

As it is said, "No matter how good looking your man is, he is better looking on a Harley and no matter how good looking your woman is, she is better looking on a Harley".

The event was also an opportunity to get to know each other and to build friendships among the HOGB members and families.

The event was attended by Group General Manager of Harley Davidson of Brunei, Mr Francis Lo and General Manager of Harley Davidson of Brunei, Pg Musa bin Pg Hj Ja'afar, HOGB committees, members and invited guests.
