Numerous events have been organised locally, as well as abroad, since the Working Committee members of the HOGB (Harley Owners Group Brunei Chapter) were appointed in April 2009, such as the National Day Silver Jubilee Ride, HOG Rally in Sabah and BIIBBF (Borneo Island International Big Bike Festival) in Labuan.
During the HOGB's 4th Annual General Meeting, which was held at Aneka Restaurant in Kiulap yesterday, it was disclosed that the association had also helped raise money for charitable causes through various fund-raising events such as the IA Salon's Charity Fund Raising for Learning Ladders Society and 'Sungkai' Ride during the month of Ramadhan.
HOGB members were also briefed on the upcoming SEAHOG (Southeast Asian Harley Owners Group) Rally, which is scheduled to be held for the first time in June 2010. Five countries will be participating in this event, namely Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
Other HOG Chapters from the US, Taiwan, Hong Kong and China are also expected to attend the 10-day rally, which will be flagged off in Malaysia on June 4. Participants will then ride from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur before arriving at Krabi in Thailand.
Brunei participants who will be taking part in this rally will be required to ship their Harley bikes in April.
Interested members can still submit their names to the committee or visit the HOGB blog at www.hogbruneichapter.blogspot.com.
Over 30 members attended the HOGB's 4th Annual General Meeting, which was presided by its director, Ridzlan Hj Ibrahim.
